In April 1987, Jorge Rodriguez boarded a plane in Chile with little more than a dream and a deep love for fútbol. He came to Canada for an opportunity to play the game that had shaped his life, taking a chance on the unknown with the belief that hard work and passion would open doors. What began as a single leap of faith soon became the start of a new chapter for his entire family, who later joined him in Canada as his journey through soccer continued to grow. Over the years, Jorge built a life around the game - as a player, coach, mentor, and now founder of Villarreal Alberta Academy alongside his children. His story is one of humility, perseverance, and dedication, showing that when opportunity meets hard work, incredible things can happen.
