Academy members train once per week over a 34-week season (October - June). Your child's training day will be determined by the VAA admin team once they receive Club schedules which are typically released early October. The Academy will build the training schedule around the various clubs to accommodate everyone. Players will remain WITH THEIR CLUB teams while we train them to become more competitive and confident players. Extra practice times are now available through our new location and membership opportunities.

Villarreal Alberta Academy currently trains inside TTC4 located at 1030 34 Ave, Nisku. Our new facility is located at the Villarreal Alberta Academy headquarters - 10313 174 St. Edmonton. We will host private and small group sessions here, as well as classroom, membership, and exercise and recovery opportunities. 

Our current fee schedule is $178.50/month October to June, omitting certain holidays. Prices are subject to change per season. Fees do not include Joma soccer sets ($150 including GST), which are mandatory for all players. Fees may be paid online and spots are filled MONTHLY on a first-come, first-served basis. If your desired day is full, please join our waitlist and we'll get in touch if an opening comes available.

The first initial payment will get your registration completed and get your player rostered, and includes their fee for the first month of training. On the 5th of every month, either an automatic withdrawal from your account will be taken if you have paid by credit card. Questions or concerns? Contact us at paymentsvaa@gmail.com 

Private or small group sessions are an excellent way to complement your Academy training. Our coaches offer limited private and small group training sessions throughout the year. You can learn more here: PRIVATE SESSIONS.

No. The Academy offers training to all AYSL Club Soccer players and Tier 1 & 2 players representing all clubs in the Edmonton area. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Selections are made based on consistency, work ethic, and individual progression over time. We evaluate whether each player meets the standards required to benefit from and contribute to the Team Playing Experience. The players selected have demonstrated those qualities consistently.  Our Academy is individual-based, not team-based. Player selection is not random and it’s not based simply on age groups or existing teams. 

All players must register and train with their respective age groups since the potential for opportunities provided by Villarreal CF are based on the year the player was born.
